This affordable 1.25-Inch Filter Set of Four Color Filters includes our most popular color planetary telescope eyepiece filters: 15 Deep Yellow, 25 Red, 58A Green, and 80A Medium Blue.

♦ High-grade S chott optical glass is vat-dyed for even color coating, then anti-reflection coated for maximum light throughput.
♦ Each filter has a metal filter cell and is threaded for use with 1.25-Inch telescope eyepieces and filter-threaded accessories.
♦ Most commonly used color plantary eyepiece filters to enhance views of planets and the Moon. Each filter features metal filter cell construction.

#15 Deep Yellow: Observe Ted and orange features on Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars, contrast of lunar features, low-contrast cloud detail on Venus

#25 Red: The red filter blocks blue and green light nearly in total, which means you get a very strong contrast, for instance, between bluish toned structures and the brighter details on Jupiter's and Saturne's clouded surface. However, this filter is mainly used to observe Martian polar caps.

#58A Green: The green filter enormously increases the contrasts between the red and blue regions of the cloud structures on the Jupiter and Saturn gas plots. In the earth moon, contrasts in the radiation craters are more apparent.

#80A Medium Blue:  The color blue supports the observation of high clouds on Mars. The contrast is increased. The dark reddish structures are darkened and this makes it the perfect filter for observing the large red spot on the Jupiter plattform. The ring of Saturn is highlighted, the structures of the Venus atmosphere become finer.


 

Other

When stacking color filters, the effective transmission of the combination you create is equal to the product of the spectral transmission of each of the filters used. All eyepiece filters are threaded to fit Astromania, C elestron, Orion and most other manufacturers'1.25-Inch eyepieces.
