Astromania SGCMOS series telescope CMOS camera

The guiding CMOS camera adopts ultra-high performance CMOS sensor as the image-picking device. USB2.0 is used as the data transfer interface. A built-in ST4 auto guider port is designed for the easy connection of the auto guider. Aluminum CNC housing with standard 1.25 inch interface (outer) to fit to telescope eyepiece and standard C-mount (inner) for standard industrial lens. The SGCMOS camera can be widely used in astrophotography.

The advantages in a nutshell:

  • Highly sensitive MT9M034(M)
  • Large field of view and high 1.2 MP resolution
  • Perfect tracking for astronomy photos - ST4 autoguider port
  • Software and drivers on CD-Rom
  • C-mount connection

ST4 Autoguider Port

Software and drivers on CD-Romand works with ASCOM plate form. You can use the computer to control telescope mounts have an autoguiding port that connects directly to the autoguider (usually referred to as an ST-4 port, which works with ana-log signals).

Heat Dissipation Design

With a unique internal heat dissipation structure, it can obtain very good picture quality under long-term exposure.

The Robust Metal Housing Is Made of Black, Anodized Aluminium

It not only looks solid, but is very sturdy. A milled and knurled focusing ring allows straightforward and precise fine focusing. It comes with matching tube clamps and a Synta-style mounting plate to make assembly and disassembly as simple as possible. A brass ring design-prevent the marring of your telescope accessories. Overall fine workmanship, is a good choice for you!

Attaching the Guide Scope:

The 50mm Multi-Use Guide Scope’s mounting bracket has a Vixenstyle dovetail bar that can be mounted to your telescope in different ways. First, it fits the standard dovetail finder scope base included on many telescopes. Simply slide it into the dovetail base, then tighten the thumbscrew on the base to secure the guide scope in place.

The bracket’s dovetail bar has one ¼"-20 (center) for attachment to an optional universal dovetail plate. In the guidescope is mounted on a telescope.

Another method of attachment:

Bolt the guide scope bracket to an optional universal dovetail plate, which you mount on top of your telescope. The mounting bar has three threaded through-holes: the center hole has ¼"-20 threads. To attach the guide scope bracket to a universal dovetail plate, one way would be to insert a ¼"-20 socket head capscrew of proper length up through the dovetail plate and into the center hole of the bracket’s dovetail bar. Tighten the bolt firmly with an Allen wren-ch. Then install the universal plate onto your telescope’s tube rings or radius blocks.

  • The advantages in a nutshell:(1)Mini guide scope for rapidly locating astronomical objects and guide stars.(2)Designed for both visual and photographic use.(3)Use any 1.25 inch eyepiece from your collection.(4)Worm-gear focuser for rapid focusing - prevents the rotation of camera and eyepiece.
  • Planetary imaging and guiding camera - the key to successful planetary photos: The CMOS Camera is a highly sensitive planetary camera which can turn you into a successful planetary photographer. The heart of this camera is a sensitive and low-noise CMOS chip. An optimal launching pad for sharp and high-resolution planetary imaging. But this camera can also be used to guide via a guide star.
  • Large field of view and high resolution: With a resolution of 1280x960 pixels, you can plot a course directly to the planets in our solar system. The wide field of view is ideal for sharp and wide-scale images of the lunar surface. Unlike normal entry-level cameras, this camera offers a much larger chip area.
  • The robust metal housing is made of black, anodized aluminium: It not only looks solid, but is very sturdy. A milled and knurled focusing ring allows straightforward and precise fine focusing. It comes with matching tube clamps and a Synta-style mounting plate to make assembly and disassembly as simple as possible.
  • Guiding with the Mini Guide Scope - makes astrophotography easier and needs less equipment: This small guide scope takes does the job of a 'classic' guide scope - but it is lighter and much easier to use! Previously, long and unwieldy guide scopes were used to locate a guide star. But this is no longer necessary! The sensitivity of modern astronomy cameras makes this possible. You simply attach the mini guide scope onto your telescope like a finder.
