Astromania 1.25-Inch Color filter set (6 pieces) - value filter pack - simply screwed into the thread on the eyepiece

Include our most popular color planetary telescope eyepiece filters:

#21 Orange, #12 Yellow, #25 Red, #82A Light blue, #56 Light green, #47 Violet.

When stacking color filters, the effective transmission of the combination you create is equal to the product of the spectral transmission of each of the filters used.
All eyepiece filters are threaded to fit Astromania, C elestron, Orion and most other manufacturers' 1.25-Inch eyepieces.
Most commonly used color plantary eyepiece filters to enhance views of planets and the Moon. Each filter features metal filter cell construction

#21 Orange - The orange filter blocks blue and green wavelengths, thus enhancing details in Saturne's and Jupiter's cloud belts. On Mars, it sharpens boundaries between orange and greenish areas.

#12 Yellow - The yellow filter improves contrast on Moon craters; on Mars, channels and polar caps become more apparent. On Jupiter and Saturne, contrast is enhanced on the bluish ammonia cloud belts.

#47 Violet - The violet filter totally blocks red, yellow and green light, which is useful when observing the polar regions on Mars. With larger telescopes (>12"), it also allows to distinguish some structures in Venus' atmosphere.

#25 Red - The red filter blocks blue and green light nearly in total, which means you get a very strong contrast, for instance, between bluish toned structures and the brighter details on Jupiter's and Saturne's clouded surface. However, this filter is mainly used to observe Martian polar caps.

#56 Light green - The light green filter is ideal for observing the ice caps on Mars and the yellowish sand storms on the Martian surface. It also improves the contrast of reddish and bluish structures in Jupiter's atmosphere.

#82A Light blue - The light blue filter is suitable for Moon, Mars, Jupiter and Saturne observation. It improves contrast on faint areas without affecting the planet's brightness, which is why this filter is often used in combination with others.

Handy color planetary telescope eyepiece filters help enhance your view of the planets and Moon, unveiling specific features and enabling you to discern more detail.
High-grade S chott optical glass is vat-dyed for even color coating, then anti-reflection coated for maximum light throughput, each filter has a metal filter cell and is threaded for use with 1.25-Inch telescope eyepieces and filter-threaded accessories.
